DESCRIPTION:

The "dark side face" (gray/blistered skin and yellow eyes originally popularized by the Emperor)
was demonstrated in Episode 3 to be the product of disfigurement from Force Lightning, rather than
a trait inherent to the Sith and those corrupted by the Dark Side. Since that revelation, many mods
have sought to remove these facial features from KotOR 2: The Sith Lords. However, it is strange
that no one seems to have made a similar mod for the original KotOR.

This mod removes all the visual features of "dark side corruption" from the original game. You will
no longer acquire ugly gray skin or predatory yellow eyes as you descend into darkness.

This mod is compatible with anything that does not change faces/heads/portraits.


INSTALLATION:

Copy the "Override" folder from this directory to your main KotOR folder (this is usually found in
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\swkotor").

To uninstall, just remove "appearance.2da", "heads.2da", and "portraits.2da" from your Override
folder in the aforementioned location.


WHAT TO DO IF THERE IS A MOD CONFLICT:

IF YOU GET A "REPLACE THESE FILES?" PROMPT WHEN INSTALLING, YOU CURRENTLY HAVE A MOD THAT CONFLICTS
WITH THIS ONE. In this scenario, you will either have to overwrite your current mod files (losing
existing mod features), or use KotOR Tool to merge the changes from this mod into the existing
modded files.

Merging is pretty simple. Copy any non-conflicting / non-duplicate files first. Then, for the files
that already exist (i.e. NOT the files from this mod), make the following changes in KotOR Tool:

appearance.2da:

    * for all "P_FEM" and "P_MAL" rows, make sure that the values in the "texaevil" column MATCH
      the values in the "texa" column.

heads.2da:

    * for all "PF" and "PM" rows, make sure that the "headtexvvve", "headtexvve", "headtexve", and
      "headtexe" columns are set to "****" (without quotes). You will see other "****" values in
      this file; you can simply copy these over as needed.

portraits.2da:

    * for all "po_pf" and "po_pm" rows, make sure that the "baseresrefe", "baseresrefve",
      "baseresrefvve", and "baseresrefvvve" columns are set to "****" (without quotes). You will
      see other "****" values in this file; you can simply copy these over as needed.

If you are using a mod that adds new main character models/heads, you can apply similar changes as
above to all of the mod-added heads, portraits, etc.
